This episode focuses on Burke working himself between Carolyn and Laura, and Rogers questioning of Laura with the sheriff over the discovery of a body in her apartment in Phoenix, burnt beyond recognition, Laura said she planned on moving out of that apartment anyway, and doesn't it all seem face. It's a little bit of mystery and very intriguing, but unfortunately, there's not much more to that episode than this.
Roger does tell Carolyn of for spending time with Burke, and Louis Edmonds brings out all his tricks in his scene with the equally talented Nancy Barrett. This is the first season where you really get to see the true Laura Collins, or whatever type of creature she really is, and in her scene with, she does begin to come off as sinister. The scene with Burke indicates that he plans on taking Rodger down, and he gives Laura little warnings that she better watch her step with him. But to make love to her while threatening her is a bit sadomasochistic, interrupted by a shocking last-minute twist.
