Who is the keeper of the family jewels?
mark.waltz24 February 2021
Warning: Spoilers
At least we know that Jason has some values, offering to get rid of Willie as long as they can pay him off. At first, Elizabeth refuses but soon realizes that it's the easiest way to get rid of the rotten problem. Willie takes it upon himself to get paid, swiping a valuable pin that Elizabeth left behind in the drawing room, and when Elizabeth notices it missing, she confronts jason. He knows that Willie took it and manages to get it back, but something about it mesmerizes him, making him consumed with finding out more about the family's jewelry collection.

With only three episodes, John Karlen has made the role of Willie his, and the intrigue concerning his character which makes him decide to go further into retrieving some family valuables. With Elizabeth refusing to allow herself to be intimidated by Jason, he stands up to her with more threats which would hurt the rest of the family and the community.

David makes a last minute appearance, showing Willie pictures of the older members of the family, and this will lead Willie on an expedition that will change his life and not in the way that he thinks it will. The mystery is growing, and thanks to David and his knowledge of the family history, the audience is becoming more intrigued as well. There are great plot devices utilized here which are about to explode.

Warning: Spoilers
Episode 208 is one that neatly builds the forthcoming events, ones which are to prove the most important in the whole history of the show. Willie's continued and continuing greed leads him to become obsessed with Barnabas Collins, and this is the episode where he decides to do a little grave-robbing.
