Kept my interest throughout, but left many many unanswered questions. Yes this is typical for NCIS, but I had to watch the show twice to see if I missed some key plot twist (couldn't find anything new). One of the usual draws to NCIS for me is that you can miss an episode or two and still get sucked in and feel like you've been entertained. The continuing story line is purposely faint in order to focus the watcher on the current show, not a lot of back-story and repetitive dialog which is usually just right for me. However this episode seemed to lack any coherent plot other than the obvious. Even the sparks foretold between Gibbs and the female CID colonel mislead to the end. If I liked mindless poorly thought-out stories I'd watch (yuccchh!) reality TV.
It lost points with me for being overly vague, but retained 7 out of 10 because even the drivel was exciting. BTW, its time for Ziva to stop being such a pain to work with. She's only likable about 10% of the time.
