Self Indulgent

I've just returned from watching Antichrist and have come to the conclusion that this film isn't as great or as profound as critics have trumped it up to be. This film comes across as a pathetic cry for attention from Lars Von Trier who as a grown man should know better. Breaking the Waves is a fantastic film by the same director which says so much more about grief, distress and relationships than Antichrist does. Having read a number of reviews which described the film as a terrifying unforgettable experience I didn't experience any of these emotions and found the whole thing quite pointless and totally over-hyped.
