Cory Assink originally came in to audition for the part of Michael, the football jock. The producers and director insisted that he instead read for the part of Geek One (the part he eventually won).

The movie premiered on July 13, 2006 at Cinespace in Hollywood, Calfornia. The movie was nowhere near finished so the audience saw more of a "test screening" than an actual premiere. Lesson learned: don't schedule the premiere before you know when the movie will be ready.
