Just after the autopsies begin, an outside shot shows that the ship is producing a wake, even though the engine hasn't been fixed yet.
When McCloskey is trapped in the barracks, the clock behind his head reads 9:52. Immediately thereafter, the clock in the mess hall says 3:35, and then 3:20 after Willets is called to the barracks. Then when Willets gets to the barracks, the clock by McCloskey reads 4:45.
In the shower, Traci soaks her body and hair. Then she's shown crying in the corner of the shower, but her body and hair are bone dry.
Willets changes the engine order telegraph from stop to half speed ahead and seconds later the engine room acknowledges by moving the little arrow, although Slab and the SEAL had just left the room to go eating.
Willets refers to Combs as "General" at one point, even though Combs is listed in the credits as "Commander". Moreover, there's no such rank as General in the Navy, something Willets would obviously know.
Willets is a Captain, but in end credits is listed as a Colonel.
The ship in question is a naval transport from WW ll, it has a couple anti-aircraft guns yet is basically a cargo ship with boom, derricks and cargo holds amidship. Yet in the movie it is called a battleship. This is a mistake because it isn't even a warship but a Navy cargo vessel.
Several SEALs have optical sights mounted on the handguard of their weapons in such a way that it is impossible to aim through them.
Twenty-two minutes in, after the sole survivor has been found unconscious and carried into a room with a bed to rest, the Captain takes three men and goes down the hall. After passing Katherine Randolph, and turning right around the corner, Katherine Randolph's character and the male next to her think they spot something in the shadowed foreground crossing the hallway. Behind them a moment before the scene cuts a bald head is visible peeking around the corner over Katherine Randolph's head, presumably belonging to the last actor to go around it.
As Khalil is supposedly dragged by an electric cable it is clearly seen through several cuts that it is a wire attached to his hip connected to a larger rope.
In the opening scene Captain Willets is supposedly on the USS Nimitz, docked in Saudi Arabia. But a few minutes later, a GPS unit is shown with coordinates for Oceanside, California.
