When discussing the movie "Fourteen Hours," Don says Glenn Ford is on the ledge, Mrs. Marie says it is Gregory Peck, and Ann says it was Rod Steiger. In fact, the man on the ledge in that film was Richard Basehart.
Ann tells the story of losing skate keys and how that was an indicator in determining hers vs. her cousin's responsibility as a kid. This implies she skated as a youth. In a future episode where Ann is interviewing as a Twinkie Soda girl, she says she has never skated and that episode is all about her first time on skates.
In the opening scene, Ann tells her father to come to her apartment at 7:30. When he and the others arrive for dinner, the clock next to the table says it is 6:30. It remains 6:30 all the way through dessert.
When Jerry Van Dyke's character is telling Don about his troubles with his girlfriend while out on the ledge, he says the line "Nobody knows how I feel !". He used the same line when he was guest staring on his brother Dick's show (S4.E18 Stacey Petrie: Part II) when he was discussing with Rob and Laura the problem he was having with a girl he had been writing to while in the army. Only in the latter he repeated the line numerous times throughout the show, and got an audience laugh each time.
