Impressive
inspectorseven29 December 2006
I was really impressed by this show. When I heard that it was locally produced I had my concerns. You know, the kid in the back yard with his VHS cam - editing on the fly. Dark, gloomy images and plot holes that Moby Dick could swim through. I was at a bar on the night that the first episode aired, and, quite frankly, forgot that it was going to be on. The guy I was with, Jerome, was making up stupid drinking bets... so I simply watched it on a dare. WOW, was I surprised! It had good acting, was lit great and told a gripping story. I was hooked after the first episode! Now I wait on the edge of my seat for Saturday to roll around. Good job Jh Productions. Keep your eyes on this group, they are going places!!! Good job.

Very proud!

As a member of the community and a participant in Jackson Horn, I just wanted to say how proud I am. I am totally blown away by the support the City has given and the time/effort that the people involved have chosen to give. It is really neat to see a project of this level here in Yakima. There is not much here in the industry and when a show like this comes in, bringing in tourism and money to help the local economy, well that's just huge. Business after business lined up to help this production and to the producers credit, they found a way to get everyone really involved. This show truly feels like a community show and it's something that we are all very proud of. I hope to see more Jackson next year, and kudos to the producers Josh Hodgins and Aaron Boltz. You guys seem to really care. I have never had the pleasure of working with Josh directly, but I have worked with Aaron and he is so amazing. Keep up the good work Jh Productions!

Bad Acting!
betty-13129 January 2007
My husband and I sat down to watch the show to see what it was like, since we knew one of the cast members. We didn't get even 5 minutes into it before I wanted to stop watching it. The acting was horrible! I've seen bad actors before, but it was nothing compared to the actors on this show. While I was watching it, I kept thinking, "what did I do to deserve this?" The acting was so bad I couldn't concentrate on anything else. My husband also observed that the video production was horrible. I did not notice this, since as I mentioned before, I was so caught up in the bad acting. It also looked like an amateur video recording, like it was shot in someone's back yard, rather than a professional job. There is only one other comment for this show other than mine, and it is a positive one. I guess they didn't notice the bad acting!

Very Good

Alright, now, this isn't an Emmy Award winning show, but considering what the Writer/Director/Producer/Editor had to go through to make this show happen, it is amazing. One thing people don't understand is how much work is involved in making a production happen. Non-the-less filming a 10 episode, 42 minute show every 5 days. The situations faced, character development, and writing are all extremely strong. The problem's faced in this show are the same I see in the Pilots of so many shows (Felicity, Buffy, Angel, Dawson's Creek), and these are all shows that went on to become greatness. I personally would love to see this franchise revisited in terms of a Hour/Two-hour Special or a DVD. Any person should watch this show past the first five minutes and discover a truly solid experience.
