Better than expected

I enjoyed this movie more than I thought. Since the movie had a French director, I was expecting more of a psychological drama, but this was a straight-out action flick. I liked how the film used a real-life problem to make an action movie, and well, since I don't care too much for the French, it was nice seeing them get beat up for a change.

I think the film could've gone more into the dirty world of sex trafficking, as it needed a deeper insight for the benefit of the audience. I'm wondering how much of the movie is based on real life.

Liam Neeson makes a good action-film debut (I don't count Star Wars Episode I) but perhaps he made his debut too late. Nonetheless, I can foresee a sequel since I believe this film will do well at the box office. Seven out of ten stars.
