When Megatron and Inferno collide, their heads switch bodies. This is a reference to the original plans they had for the characters. Namely, Megatron was to die and Inferno was meant to represent his second body. This of course never came to be, and this humorous scene is all that was left of the idea.
When the Maximals see what kind of damage the Predacon weapons can do to a rock, their eyes "pop out", like in classic comedic cartoons shorts.
This episode continues the first part's Spaghetti Western references. The fight between Inferno and Optimus Primal is a clear homage, but there are other ones as well, which parody some of the usual western movie clichés and mistakes. For example, Tarantulas and Waspinator are shown arriving at the battle scene, even though they already got there by the end of the last episode, and Waspinator and Silverbolt can also be seen swooshing over the Maximals two times.
When Tarantulas is approaching the Maximals with the Predacons to finish them, he spins his blade and the noise it makes resembles a cowboy spinning the bullets of his gun, similar also to when someone "mixes up" the bullets in a gun after loading when Russian Roulette is played.
