• Continuité: Amy loses her glasses while trying to escape from the vines. When she and Stacy are pulled out of the ruins, she has no glasses. Two scenes later, she is wearing glasses again. They disappear for the rest of the film.
  
  
• Continuité: In the beginning of the film, Amy is wearing sunglasses. A few shots later, she is wearing glasses. A few shots later, she is wearing sunglasses again.
  
  
• Révélant des erreurs: Jeff never grows a beard, even though he is trapped on top of a Mayan ruin for days, with no way to shave.
  
  

• Continuité: The ruins have an opening at the top. A rope hangs down, and people can lower others by turning a wheel. When one character is going down into the ruins, the camera changes quickly between the person going down into the ruins and the characters lowering the rope. However, they are turning the wheel the wrong way, and the rope is moving up.
  
  
• Erreurs faites par les personnages (éventuellement des erreurs délibérées par les cinéastes): In the scene where Jeff is cutting Mathias's legs off, Mathias lifts his shoulders and head off the ground yet his back is broken from the fall so he would not be able to do that.
  
  
• Continuité: The scar on Jeff's chin changes throughout the movie. In the scenes where there are talking to Mayans, there looks to be a fresh cut there. In earlier parts of the movie, it looks like an old scar.
  
  
• Révélant des erreurs: When Stacy's getting lowered into the mine, the rope's not nearly long enough and she has to jump down to get on to the ground, but when they lower the backboard down to bring Mathias and the girls up, the rope's only a few feet off the ground and they lift him up to the board which is only about waist high.
  
  

• élément de l'intrigue manquant: SPOILER: Near the end of the movie, when Amy lying at the base of the temple pretending to be dead, the killer vines ignore her. Soon after, when Jeff is killed by arrows, the vines grab onto him almost immediately and drag him away. The faked death plan shouldn't have worked; the villagers should have noticed Amy lying there, and killed her right away.
  
  
• Révélant des erreurs: SPOILER: There is virtually no blood from Eric's wound when Stacy stabs him in the chest with the knife. One would think there would be more blood since the blow was directly to the chest.
