Anecdotes:
This episode is also a take on a play called 'Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead', which chronicles the lives of two characters played out against the backdrop of events from Shakespeare's Hamlet. In Hamlet, the two characters are charged with determining Hamlet's motives, and plans. Instead they, themselves are killed. The characters are thrust into the universe of Hamlet in much the same way that Paulo and Nikki were thrust into ours, by the will of the writer. Inasmuch, they seem to serve no valid purpose and are generally mocked throughout for being the extraneous folk they are. In "Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead", however, much like Expose is Nikki and Paulo, the playing field is reversed and they are the major characters with Hamlet seeming to be the character with misappropriated importance. suite
Goofs:
élément de l'intrigue manquant: In Season 2 Episode 21 ("Lost: ? (#2.21)" (2006)) (about 28 minutes into the program), when the group finds the doors to the Pearl Station, it takes Eko and Locke both to open each of the two doors. When another group returns to the Pearl Station, (in Season 3 Episode 5 "Lost: The Cost of Living (#3.5)" (2006), 25 minutes into the episode), Sayid and Desmond repeat the process of opening the doors. In this episode, (Season 3 Episode 14, about 24 minutes into the program), we find Paulo has entered the Pearl Station alone to hide the diamonds, he hides as he hears Ben and Juliet enter the station, You hear Ben comment something like "Who left the doors open?" We must assume that when Ben and Juliet left, they closed the doors behind them, leaving Paulo inside. If it took two people to open the doors from the outside, how do we expect one person standing on a ladder in a vertical shaft to open the doors from the inside? suite

The same way I get anybody to do anything: I find out what he's emotionally invested in and I exploit it.

I think this was one of the best episodes of the season. Paolo and Nikki get a back story, and everything fits together perfectly. Im just sad to see them go. It seems like they weren't there for a bigger purpose and they needed to get rid of them. But they got rid of them in a great way. I cant believe the details they put in this show. Its amazing how they don't loose track of certain things. well maybe they do...what the heck happened to Michael and Walt. They weren't seen at all this episode. This episode was sort of a break from the show it self and tied up a small few things. I loved the ending as well. Lost rules!
