Who can possibly replace Louis Walsh on the X Factor? The answer to that question is simple. Nobody. It's a silly question.
However, if the X Factor juggernaut is going to continue without the cheeky Irish scamp, Digital Spy has seven (not particularly serious) suggestions for replacements.
Sinitta
A first-week exit on Dancing on Ice, a gig on the written-out-of-Cowell-history TV turkey Grease Is The Word and 10 years on the X Factor sidelines, where she was reduced to parading around with only palm leaves to cover her modesty in a bid to capture someone's (anyone's) attention. Is it finally time for the 'friend of Simon Cowell' and 'So Macho' popstar to step into the big league?
Pete Waterman
Way back when Simon Cowell was still known in the music industry as the man behind Zig & Zag and Robson & Jerome's pop careers, Pete Waterman was the original big cheese in cheesy pop.

Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway isn't original, isn't clever and isn't always that funny. However, it's a hefty improvement on ITV's recent Saturday night output - Splash!, everything with Keith Lemon - and luckily for Ant & Dec it's a million miles away from Red Or Black.
Over 7 million tuned in for the first episode last week. The simple format of celebrity guests, silly challenges, pranks and a shrieking studio audience hasn't been tweaked or altered during the show's three-year hiatus. It's still Noel's House Party but without Mr Blobby and an irritating bloke with a beard.
The boys have a new feature that involves humiliating a member of the audience by raking through their embarrassing Twitter updates, but that was the closest Takeaway came to a nod to modernity. Cosier than a cup of hot chocolate, a sheepskin rug and a blanket, Ant & Dec's enduring appeal stems from...

Update: Katie has denied that she appeared with Jedward last year, posting on Twitter:
“Just saw the news that I was supposedly in @planetjedward performance last year, sadly untrue,i wish I was lol!!!xx”
Ohhh we love a good conspiracy theory and it seems that Katie Waissel may have even more X Factor links than we had previously thought.
It was reported earlier this year that the 24 year old singer, who was saved by Simon Cowell in her Fourth sing off last Sunday, had links with Sony BMG, X Factor choreographer Brian Friedman and former show judge Sharon Osbourne. Now an eagle eyed viewer has possibly spotted the wannabe on stage during last year’s series of the ITV show.
It seems that Katie may have appeared as a DJ during Jedward’s performance of Rock DJ on week one of the 2009 series. A girl looking very like her...

Big Brother star Saskia Howard Clarke has posed for her last topless photo, before she has her breast reduction surgery.
The big boobed brunette starred in the 2005 series of Channel 4’s reality TV show and has recently revealed that she is thoroughly fed up with her size I breasts.
Promising that she won’t go too small and that her boobs will still be a Dd cup, Saskia told The News Of The World:
“I know some blokes might be disappointed, but I promise I won’t let you down!”
She added:
“I didn’t realise that Size I even existed but I went for a bra fitting a few weeks ago, and they’re just getting bigger and bigger.
“Otherwise I’m quite petite, so it’s a constant pain finding nice clothes that I fit into. I can’t wear anything with buttons. I can’t get lovely matching underwear sets.

Brian Friedman has backed Simon Cowell's decision to work on the UK and Us X Factor shows simultaneously. When the first Us series of the music reality show launches on Fox in 2011, it will air at the same time as the British version on ITV1. If Cowell appears as a judge on both series, he could potentially end up doing four TV shows every week and mentoring six acts. Commenting on the schedule, Friedman told Digital Spy: "Well, when I first came over to the UK to do Grease Is The Word, I was doing So You Think (more)...

Doghouse actor Danny Dyer has revealed that he turned down the chance to appear on Channel 4’s Celebrity Big Brother.
Dyer admitted that he was offered £200,000 to do the show, but refused to go in as he feared it would ’screw up’ his career.
Danny wrote in his column for Zoo magazine:
“Last year, Celebrity Big Brother offered me £200k to go into the house. There was no f**king way I was doing it. It’s not worth the aggro. Plus, by the time I’d paid the taxman and my agent, I’d only have seen half the cash!”
He added: “It would purely be a money-making move, but you risk screwing up your career and you get those f**king Z-listers dissecting your personality on that Little Brother show. Plus, the producers would make me Mr Sweary.”
