However, Michael Patrick King was concerned they looked too comfortable. He said it was important to show the contrast between Steve and Miranda who weren't having sex, and Carrie and Big who were.
- For the scene in the auction, Michael Patrick King originally wanted a paddle with 69 on it. However, as this was not available, 969 had to be used instead.
- In the scene when Carrie is returning some books to the library, Sarah Jessica Parker is not wearing any mascara. Also in this scene, she is carrying a hat which she never wears as it was actually too small to fit on her head.
- The pen that is tucked in Carrie's dress in the scene when she shows Charlotte and Anthony her label-less vintage suit is the same pen that she always used in the series (a pilot varsity disposable fountain pen).
