I went in expecting these not to be good based on other episodes from this season, but I actually found them to be solid. There are some decent jokes, like the names of the voice actors on each door backstage, and it was neat to see a bit of continuity between the episodes, as one picks up where the other left off, though with a different plot. Dream Hoppers was pretty wild but in a good way, because I worried it would be just like Sleepy Time, but they took a different approach. It's not S1-S4 Spongebob, but it's decent programming.

Two great recent episodes!

I think both of these episodes are awesome! Krusty Koncessionaires was pretty funny and Dream Hoppers was beautifully amazing with its story.
Krusty Koncessionaires has Mr. Krabs serve krabby patties at a concert while he tries to advertise the Krusty Krab. This episode is pretty funny to me. Also we even see the voice actors' names in this as a cameo! And the ending was amazing when Spongebob, Squidward, and Mr. Krabs start playing music at the concert.
Dream Hoppers is kinda like the season 1 episode Sleepy Time, but without voices. And instead have classic beautiful music playing. I really love the music in the episode. It is really beautiful. And Patrick's dream was pretty cool to look at.
So these two episodes are worth watching whether you like the new Spongebob episodes or not.

The Perfect Way to Wrap Up A season!

This is one of the best season finales of any shows i've ever seen. Bot episodes were absolutely fantastic. Krusty Koncessionaires was so funny it had me dying. And the song is super catchy. Dream Hoppers is more on the creative side than funny. Everything is so on point and the music fits in perfectly with what is going on. And the airplane bit was one of my most favorite musical bits in SpongeBob. I highly recomend these two!

I just came from Spongebob season 2, and I can say without qualification: these episodes are both really, really bad, unless you're comparing them to other recent Spongebob episodes.
The first, 'Krusty Koncessionaires' features a frenetic series of images loosely tied together by the theme 'Mr. Krabs wants to advertise at a concert'. Great story idea right? No, it's just as shallow as it sounds. Perhaps my mistake was expecting the same level of authenticity, humanity and storytelling from 2020 Spongebob as I did from 2000 Spongebob... But I don't think that's a mistake, just an aspiration. Why on earth have all the characters become two-dimensional caricatures of themselves? Where's the depth, or the conflict, or the growth? That's what made Spongebob great in the early seasons- intelligent writers who took the time to sculpt great stories so the slapstick stuff was in context.
The second, 'Dream Hoppers', is a less interesting, less funny rip-off of 'Sleepy Time'. It's has the same problem of trying to inject energy into literally every second to mask the fact that the writers can't actually write. If any of those writers happen upon this review, I'll very explicitly forward a challenge- if you invite me to write and storyboard an episode, I will come up with a better episode (as judged by imdb) in less than 3 days. I'm serious.
