Real deal!

Something different from the Chinese cinematography... a real treat for those who want a film which is different from the rest! The storytelling is out of this world, different and mesmerizing, feeling surrealistic and silly at moments but always with a clear goal ahead!

A simple vulgarity is noticeably used through the storytelling exploring the human nature, even when deeply involved in the drama of the right and wrong!

This film has some of the best acting I've seen in China in the last ten years... what a pleasant surprise!

Watch it... that is all I can say! Highly recommended!

The 11th Chapter

A not so serious serious film/drama hybrid. An interesting attempt to cross into the realm of Broadway, and a deeper look at people across different forms and shapes in modern day China. However, it is so hard to truly grasp the meanings behind the film, but perhaps this is the essence of the film, each person has their own motives, interpretation, desire of the world, and none of it truly matters, but how society looks at you, an interesting portrayal of this simple yet complicated country.
