The special effects in this movie are probably the best I've ever seen outside of a big action movie! At times it gets a little tedious, but be patient, it's worth it.
It's a story of a single mother who is willing to do anything for her son. It's also a continuous stream of friendships. Forrest makes friends easily and holds on to them tightly.

Forrest is inserted into a lot of historical film you may recognize. You will definitely recognize the "historical" characters he meets in the movie.
BTW, the book is horrendous! It bears little to no resemblance to the movie & that should please viewers.
This would have received a higher rating if the director had left more of the film on the cutting room floor.
