The best Serbian show ever
thaicoons20 December 2020
Speechless. It starts kinda slow as it sets the scene but once it reels you in, it's high revs till the end. The writing, the casting, the acting, the music, the cinematography, this show is just next level in more ways than one, amazing work.

One among the greatest balkan TV shows ever

As a citizen of the city portrayed in the series, I can assure you that the story is very close to reality that surrounds the whole region. Besides that, actors portrayed characters in very very natural way which is so fascinating.

It is all about redemption

Warning: Spoilers
Simply put, this TV series is a master-piece in almost every level. Brilliant script by Nikola Pejakovic and wonderful and deeply emotional acting made this an unforgettable experience. Understanding this TV series as some sort of Crime and Punishment story is quite simplified interpretation. From the very beginning to the very end, the authors brought us everlasting combat between good and evil which happens inside every person and inside their surroundings. This is no pathetic conflict given in black-and-white terms, but fighting with deeply religious and emotional context. One of the main characters in this TV series, Kosta Gajic, smiled only once. His smile came as a result of his redemption, not punishment. Fundamentally, this is a story about redemption and salvation. Some people cannot be saved, but the local priest Dragan leads his silent and persistent struggle for the souls of people and for the sake of his own family. There are many faces of evil in this TV series. The character of Englez personifies demon itself, but evil inside men often seems far more worse.

This is definitely one of the best domestic series ever

This is definitely one of the best domestic series ever. The whole trilogy. Nikola Pejakovic has exceptionally written this drama and created a fantastic character that will be remembered for a long time. I don't agree with his political and other life views, but it must be emphasized that he is an outstanding writer. The entire creative team has done an excellent job. I am proud that this series comes from our region. Congratulations to everyone involved in its creation. In one part, the role of Dragan Micanovic, although small, is truly brilliant. All the actors are exceptional, and the show is another proof that the script is the most important.

This tv show isn't just interesting, well acted out, well directed and perfectly written - it's an amazing interpretation of the reality in Republic of Srpska and Serbia.
