This episode is pretty good and true to life. Mr. Lewis can't prevent Parker from growing up and more independent, but he can still worry. As Parker tries to weasel his way into a sporty car Mr. Lewis tries convincing Parker to take a safe and reliable Volvo. Parker always wins (despite the title not being "Parker Lewis Can't Lose" anymore) and gets the sporty car. It's great as Parker gets to experience the life of a cool car owner and yet Mr. Lewis starts to question his own lifestyle. Even though Mr. Lewis viewed the car as a threat to Parker and his relationship in the end it actually has the potential to bring them closer together. Like I've said a ka-gillion times about liking the realistic episodes this one is a dead ringer for that category.

I'm enjoying very much re-watching Parker Lewis Can't Lose after watching it when it first debuted over 30 years ago, yes wow, over three decades ago. I must be one of the few who liked very much season three, and admittedly those who loved seasons one and two would have found season three a bit jarring because of it's focus on relationships.
In this episode it's the relationship between Parker and his Dad (played by Timothy Stack), Parker and his car, Dad and Parker's car, Ms Musso and her date. It's the relationships. Anyway, I still wish it had run for a forth season but I guess it wasn't to be.
