Electroland was one of 50 environmental films commissioned for Al Gore's SOS/Live Earth concert and films series, aimed at sparking action on climate change. While the event centers around concerts on all 7 continents for 07.07.07, the films were commissioned for lasting educational impact. Electroland premiered at Tribeca Film Festival, and screened as part of Live Earth Day at LA Film Festival. The film is an aesthetic and factual portrait of the US power grid. Combining a powerful, wide ranging score by Mel Wesson and James Dooley, with graphics by Crazybridge Studios and visuals by cinematographer Jesse Green in tandem with the US Archive and Prelinger collections, Electroland shows the worst polluters along with the best hopes for the future.
