This one was very entertaining and it was a surprise.

I have watched a few esports dramas and although this is not the best it is worth the watch.

In terms of the e-games scenes and battles Falling Into Your Smile is way better and the quality of the effects too. Same goes for the romance.

In this one the focus is less in the games or in the romance and more in what happened behind the scenes and what it takes to build a professional e-sports team. It very refreshing to watch the development of the characters and see them struggle trying to start from zero and rise to the top to achieve their dreams.

The drama is filled inspiring relationships of camaraderie, friendship and love and showing how a family can be chosen and when loyal and true to them it will be there for you forever.

I wanted to give it a bit higher rating but there were too many undeveloped storylines and some very frustrating plot holes and characters so I lowered it a bit.

A good watch

First time watching an E-Sport storyline and I enjoyed it. Wang Yibo always fascinate me on his portrayal of character. The rest of the cast is also good, there's no force acting considering it's an idol drama. Definitely I recommend if your looking for fun and lighthearted drama.

A Binge-Worthy Show w/Wang Yibo Showing Real Versatility

I have searched for this show for nearly a month before finally finding it on some obscure website with English subtitles. I have been a fan of Wang Yibo since first watching him in "The Untamed" in mid-December. When I first read the synopsis of this show, I wanted to see him in a different type of show instead of a costume drama. As he's a gamer and motorbike racer in real life, it only added to the intrigue of how he would play this character. He didn't disappoint. Though I know zilch about games, he was ridiculously good and made a believer out of me. The entire series made me laugh at times and cry at others. The entire cast did a wonderful job and I wish more international fans could see his performance in this series. The reason I gave it a 9 and not a 10 was because I wish the romance aspect of it was less drawn out and all of the villains had better understood connections. Otherwise, I would and will recommend this show to people who are looking for something different. Wang Yibo at just 22 years old is a promising and courageous young actor that will continue to flourish with every role he's in. I look forward to seeing more of the Chinese Michael Jackson (yes ppl, he's really that good at dancing) in the future!

I admit, I thought this would just be a way to get my fix for more Wang Yibo. I wasn't expecting to like this so much. So... surprise! This was so much darn fun! With likable protagonists, and with villains you hope will crash and burn... this show is genuinely good!

There is some outstanding personal growth for nearly every character, and yet it doesn't feel bogged down by attending to each individual. The growth comes naturally through all of them experiencing their struggles and working to overcome them. Fortunately, the struggles are based on a fun premise of the gaming world-- or the e-sports world, as it's explained in the series.

It also helps that there are some fantastic friendships that just feel really good to watch, and that definitely helps to move the story along.

There are also a few secondary relationships that are enjoyable to watch evolve. All of the romance is woven very effectively into the rest of the plot, This isn't a love story with some plot thrown in. It's an unexpectedly fun story that happens to have some sweet romance to accompany it.

The acting is very good. The story is very good. The experience was just overall a revelation. I need to get a hold of my own copy of this. I would absolutely watch this again.

best esports drama

This is the most realistic esports drama I've watched. I put this drama off cos I don't find the topic interesting to me, but it was not what I expected. It's light hearted and fun. I never thought I'd get into esports like this. The story doesn't drag and many characters have gone through a growth process and become better people. It really is a feel good drama.

Surprisingly fun

A series that follows the dramatic lives of an esports team doesn't, on the surface, seem to hold much promise, at least to Western audiences whose interest in the esports field lags behind that of global audiences. But this show is unexpectedly entertaining and charming. The three story arcs help propel the story, each driven by the force of personality that is the lead actor, Wang Yibo. This show features the Gary Stu trope (everything revolves around the male lead) but that serves the story well since Wang himself oozes as much charisma as his character is meant to. It's quite believable that the story would unfold the way it does because of him. It's a role that could easily be over-acted, but he holds the reins tightly and delivers an appropriate performance for the material. He's supported by a decently strong cast, with no distracting weak spots. Whether you're interested in esports or not, Gank Your Heart is a more than serviceable romance and character drama that will put a smile on your face and make you sigh with satisfaction at the end.

Unexpectedly at the top of the world

This is a love story between an e-sports gamer and a Tsundere live streamer. I love how that is in the description. Although there are many more things that is happening in this drama, nothing else beats how eye-catching both leads are and how entertaining the chemistry between them is. As their romance slowly build up against the background of their careers, they make you smile in the sweet moments, they make your purse your lips in sour moments and they make you sigh too many many times.

I love Gank Your Heart and I love how much of a treat it is. I love how the story progresses and I love the actors in it, especially Ji Xiangkong's Wang Yibo.

Okay, I first cringed at the idea of esports drama but this is super adorable. After getting through first 6 episodes (which like totally acceptable for most of the cdramas), I become so invested in this.

This drama is a live example of wanting to reach the peak. Ji xiankong's dream to be a champion and qiu ying's dream to be a commenter both of their dreams came to at last and my eyes was full of tears when saw the ending. This is my most fav eSport drama tbh. I will suggest every drama lover to binge watch this..

I have watched some other eSport theme dramas after watching Gank Your Heart. However, none of them leave much impression for me.

One of the reason is watching this drama was like reading a Japanese manga. It explore more on the eSport and the journey of the team to reach the top. It was quite realistic.

My most favorite characters here are Ji Xiangkong and Peixi. I hope there will be season 2 for this drama series.

Great interpretation of gaming world

This drama makes me so invested into games, and as I watched the drama, I become so emotional as all the characters played their roles so well, even you could feel the frustration and all the feelings they wanna convey. Ji Xiang Kong makes me yearn for a pro gamer boyfriend, so cool and a leader type. The most important part is the romance doesn't overwhelm the gaming part, which is very rare in gaming dramas as other dramas always put more stress on romance. Overall, an excellent drama!

I dont really play online games, but after watch this drama makes me wanna try play it. Its so fun to be able to play in a group, using strategy. The drama itself is very entertaining. Love the storyline. The message is very good. Suitable for all youngsters.. Wang Yibo as the main cast played very well.. love all the cast too. Its very funny and entertaining.

Very nice drama. It's a super sweet love story between Ji Xiangkong, a professional e-sports player and Qiu Ying, an enthusiastic livestreamer. Full of youth blood, responsibility, intelligence, passion and touched love! Wang Yibo fully displayed of excellent acting, and of course he"s so handsome and cool. Love Ji Xiangkong so much!

A great drama with a great cast ! Kudos to Wang Yibo for fleshing out the role of Ji Xiang Kong so well. He deserves all the awards & praises that has been given to him for this drama. The cast and crew seems to be enjoying themselves on and off camera based on the drama bts which makes this seems fun & real..
