Original to return ending
moov_e_c_er9 November 2023
Warning: Spoilers
At least in the original ending there was an ending. Grace and Will's kids find each other in college.

The return deletes all that and ends with the baby is coming and no celebration or arrival. No more mentions about Will's baby or due date. A boyfriend comes back into town. And they move away...

I want a refund! There should have been a big bang ending. A celebration of the best moments without being a flashback episode. I missed this original airing first time around and watched the whole show from start to finish. What a disappointment of an ending.

Blah blah stupid requirements of length.

Anticlimatic

Warning: Spoilers
It is one of those endings were the producers still hold a hope that maybe they will get a new season so they leave some expectation, but they also have to close most threads.

But considering the bad reviews am I (moderately) happy? Yes.

At LEAST they didn´t repeat some of the mistakes of the final season (that were so awful). I was expecting all the time "oh, now they will repeat the fight were..." But no.

McCoy comes back and I was expecting a happy reunion, but no, it is just a cameo to show that Will didn´t end it up alone.

Grace didn´t have a happy reunion, apparently because of conflicting schedules. Either they were planning to reunite her with leo or with Noah no one knows. Either way it would be hammered, as none of them were seen for a whole season, and "Ross" was cut out of the series very abruptly - grace literally was dating him and decided over a mini problem to chase other guy (always the risk with invited actors when they play love interest and we saw this several times).

I was expecting the whole "oh, so you have Mckoy so you are backing out on me" but surprisingly this didin´t happen, maybe for lack of time.

At least the 11th. Season ended it up on a hopeful note - better than the original final, that didn´t even make sense, although it had more heart because everybody knew it was the ending.

These last three seasons was the karen show. She shined it bright. Who would said 20 years ago that the star of the show would be the mean drunk who appared for a 5th of each episode?

The whole Jack "am I still a nurse" was kinda of meta, but I think it just reflects that the writers didn´t have a plan, and always keep inventing bad stories and just dropping the threadlines.

I am glad they did the reunion, even if to mourn Rosario. Some episodes had a lot of heart. But lots of good oportunities to discuss new themes like mid life crisis, being an older gay man, jack growing up, were never tackled and neglected in the name of chasing old tired topics. They didn´t need to live together. They could have relationships. They didn´t need to repeat the whole pregnancy thing for the third F*ing time. And some of the humour just was old or didn´t have teeth anymore - in 2017 they simply couldn´t do the old mean lesbian jokes for instance.

It's Time

Finales of long-running sitcoms are hard to get right.

Just ask 'Will and Grace' who retconned their original finale, tried to do a better one in the reboot, and still managed to get it wrong.

Maybe when they come back again (though getting the actors to settle their disagreements might be tricky) we'll get a decent one.

This show was great at the start, but it had long jumped the shark by this point.

Sad, but kinda enjoyable

Warning: Spoilers
Wow, What. That's all I have to say. what? That was, well that was crap. I love Will and Grace so much, and while this episode was enjoyable in some way, it barely scratched the surface of a perfect ending. How many years of the show and this is how they end it? I expected more, but the ending with Will in the apartment was kinda nice. I guess I don't know the perfect ending, I at least wanted to see Grace give birth, but Will gets with McCoy and Jack does his play?? I guess that's all they could do but I was still heavily, heavily disappointed. I feel like it was extremely rushed, not explaining things much, just squishing in too much things and I feel with another season, they could have made the perfect ending. But, this season I feel dragged on and just recycled old storylines from the original run, hoping no one would notice. I loved most of the revival, I love Will and Grace, but I expected a better ending to such an amazing show

Really disappointing

Seriously after 11 seasons you expect something special... this was really bad... rushed through and really silly concepts that shone badly on the stars.

The ending with no closure

Warning: Spoilers
Will and grace has been a staple in my tv diet and the excitement i had when i heard they were bringing it back i couldn't deal it was the best ever but these last 3 seasons have been disappointment after disappointed the second last episode was great we were happy with will and grace finally accepting that it may just be will and grace forever to quote will "it's odd but it works" they would live out thier lives raise thier children together and be happy but then to throw in the mccoy bomb that is still ticking away did they? Didn't they? And then there's the whole baby aspect i would of at least expected the ending to be jack karen will and grace with thier babies on the sofa that would of been perfect but nooo max and dave left us with questions unanswered and closure never to be had well apart from jack and Karen thier stories finished up neatly good for them... i guess but it's now up there with the how i met your mother final the good wife final medium criminal minds and so many others that didn't get the justice they deserved after so many years

Very Disappointing
spencerkwills13 February 2022
The last few episodes of this season were terrible. Poorly written, terrible storylines and rushed, very disappointing way to end. Also the canned laughter, although filmed in front of a live studio audience is so off putting and frankly lame.
