Best episode of the series.

All Hell breaks loose, The Irregulars are the only ones who can stop The Linen Man from releasing all manner of things.

I'd say this is the best episode of the series. This was very exciting, dramatic, and some of the minor irritations throughout the series made sense, with the jigsaw pieces all being neatly put together.

Best scene for me, the nun, that was chilling, and worthy of many a horror film, the tone in general was more macabre, and ultimately more grown up, it didn't feel childish or silly.

Some wonderful special effects, and nice dramatic music, which finally wasn't battling against the Victorian setting.

Finally, I thought Watson and Holmes were ultimately worth their salt, I liked the pair finally in this episode.

On the downside I thought Linen Man was a bit of a damp squib, and didn't amount to much as a character.

I was dubious, but I'd watch more of them, I was won over, 8/10.

Welp, that's the end of the first season.

I didn't come into this with any expectations, not being a Sherlock fanboy or even a boffin...

Though I am a fan of BC's interpretation of Holmes.

As someone who has lived half a century, I have to say, that this show took me back... Took me back to being a youngster, being someone against The Establishment... the person I used to be, looking forward rather than back...putting hardships behind me and watching the future with shades on.... to protect my eyes from the light.

If I may wax lyrical for a moment, I come away from this feeling that this show is basically a metaphor for the optimism of youth in the face of catastrophe.

Our young protagonists, on the verge of facing "real life" have to come to terms with what they have to lose....

Which arks back to the beginning of the show where Leo is asked, what he has to lose..... And he realises that he has more and more to lose as he goes on...

This episode brings all the feels home. If you can't feel anything in the final 15 minutes of this, you are a colder man/woman/person than I.

Ridiculous Crud Ends with a Dud

So the angry Scooby Doo Crew has the Linen Man villain who has killed numerous people in their gun-sights several times, and nobody can pull the trigger. This is the new woke version of television, where everybody deserves to live, even as they murder dozens of people.

The rat bag bunch finally track Linen Man to the multiverse rip, where drug-addicted hobo slob Sherlock Holmes is helping him tear the universe apart. Holmes wants to see his girlfriend again, and since she is on the other side of the multiverse, Holmes helps the Linen Man to destroy the world. What a sad and pathetic depiction of the character of Sherlock Holmes. This TV series had absolutely nothing to do with Sherlock Holmes or his legacy. The characters in this series had nothing in common with any character created by Arthur Conan Doyle.

In spite of the overall stupidity, at least this episode had some entertaining action.

Disjointed storyline. Too little material stretched to fill out the episode. Anti -climactic. It's a shame, too. The series was entertaining up until the last half hour or so.
