Nothingness and not half as cool as they want it to be

"Mayans M. C. - Season 2: Mayhem Preview - FX" is well in theory a short film if we look at the running time and definition on imdb, but it is basically an appetizer for the second season of the television series "Mayans M. C." that started in 2010 and is now over, so yeah this little clip is from 2019 then. Summer 2019. The director is Ethan Wilson and the cast list includes many people from the show of course. However, as this is so short, nobody has any material to work with and everybody is only seen very briefly. No plot here, but we see the protagonists and hear the voice of somebody talking from the off, probably one of the directors. And when I said that this is short, then this means really short because it runs for 43 seconds only and there is an outro that is pretty much still one third of the entire thing, so real content here is under 30 seconds. I am generally in favor of appetizers for new seasons and think more shows should do it and I appreciate that the channel this show was on uploaded a great deal of content there, some also linked to individual episodes. This one here, however, is absolute nothingness and, unless you are a gigantic die-hard fan of the show and thus seriously biased, you will not see any cinematic value in the outcome here. I cannot say it got me one bit curious to watch season two in the near future. The opposite is pretty much the case. With how shallow it all seems here and just relying on big bikes and stuff like that instead of actual substance, this watch here resulted in the opposite, namely me not wanting to watch this show anytime soon. The view count on Youtube is also pretty low and yet not as low as it should be. The 555 ratings for this one here are probably only this many because most mistook this clip for an actual episode or season of the show. Or the show itself? I don't know. And I really shouldn't care. The outcome is a joke and not a good one. Only good thing is that it was this short, but at the same time it is a bad thing because at five minutes or so it could have been at least a remotely insightful watch. I highly recommend to skip it.
