The nostalgic songs at the end of the episodes are from "Ferdi Özbegen", a semi-well-known singer from the 80s, whose songs was great for everyone in turkey, from east to west, from rich to poor. I think why they choose Ferdi Özbegen, and not a better well known singer like "Zeki Muren" is the history of Ferdi Özbegen. While both are homosexual, Ferdi is immigrant with an christian mother from armenia and moslem father from greece. So he and his songs are bringing the idea of different but unified (and unifieng!) cultures in Turkey to a symbolic level.
