While not mentioned as a direct part of the Arrow-Verse, this DC show, along with almost every DC show ever created (except maybe Lois & Clark, or the original Wonder Woman) has now been tied to this Universe, and logic dictates that the Crisis should show up here as well. While some have had issues with the labeling of Earths as Earth One and Earth Two, this may have been more in relation to the main characters (as anyone would see their Earth as the prime or Earth-1). Since it is easy to assume that not all fans of Black Lightning are as familiar with the other shows in the Arrow-Verse, this numbering would make things easier for the audience versus say Earth 77.

As for the story, I liked the way they approached Jennifer as she sees how each choice made can have different consequences to her life. This did seem to lead to a major plot hole (why I didn't give this a 10). If all the Jennifer's had the same powers, why didn't the storms have any effect on the other two Jennifer's shown? They all should of had the same health Crisis. Still, I loved the story otherwise.

The way Black Lightning vanishes, tied in perfectly with how he arrives in the episode for Flash, which also proves he wasn't from what the Arrow Verse calls Earth One.

The way Jennifer Prime was last seen, one wonders if she may show up again later in Crisis as a secret weapon to save the day.

Without a doubt this is the best Black Lightning episode up to date. Jennifer has become so much more interesting character. Also when Jennifer is sitting on the balcony and sees the red sky, talk about how good acting it's of China. And the soundtrack, camera work and the visuals are all amazing! Can't wait to see Jefferson join the crisis!

Confession: I do not follow Black Lightning and I do not follow any show on the CW - my only reason for seeing this particular episode relates to the connection to the Crisis on Infinite Earths storyline. The most positive of my experience watching Chapter Four: Earth Crisis was that the Black Lightning series includes actor Bill Duke - a powerful and distinguished actor and it was a pleasure to watch him perform. Actually that was the only positive and sadly I won't be back to see Bill Duke is any further Black Lightning episodes because.......aw man, this show sucks. The writing is atrocious, the performances are stale and lack passion, the production quality....is on par with the other CW 'Crisis' episodes I've seen-which is amateurish and lacking in experience. The James Remar character needs to be killed off immediately as this is the worst performance I have ever seen him give - and James Remar has given decades of bad performances. If you are also here for this episode as it relates to 'Crisis', skip it, but know this episode is connected to the complete 'Crisis' story.

Female characters in this series are increasingly unbearable. It has become a torture to get to the end of each episode.

I must admit I was surprised how high this episode rated. It was so random and seems like someone won a bet or something. ...and then the random way it got ended. However I'm a completist - I sat through all of Black Skies and Iron Fist ...so I'll continue enjoying all the randomness of our Black Lightning ⚡ 😁
