In one scene of intimacy involving a man and a woman, the two are sitting facing each other on a bed, embracing in a darkly lit room, and the camera pans down from their heads and shoulders to their midsections. The woman's breasts are visible, and the nipple of one is dark, but one nipple is clearly visible. It is tastefully done and there is no depiction of actual sexual intercourse in the film.

A man is beaten and kicked on the ground, but he is out of view for the duration of the attack. When he is seen again, he is being carried and has a black eye and bruised face.

There is a general sense of unease throughout the film, and the buildings ruined by the tsunami look desolate and scary in some scenes. A man walks through a ruined building that he is warned is haunted, and the viewer half expects him to encounter some danger there. But there is no shock-horror.
