This is one of my favorite episodes of the show and it's one of the darkest as it tackles a real issue on Drugs. I actually like this because it's a refreshing change of pace to see hero/superheroes deal with a contemporary modern day issue. But what really makes this episode stand out is it pulls no punches as we see with brutal honesty the dire consequences of drugs.

What's interesting about the episode is that it's one that's focused on unknown characters Brad and Jay; Bravestarr, Fifty Fifty, and Shawman still play their roles but their more supporting players for once.

I kinda like how we see this contrast between both Brad and Jay. There is this theme about doing the right thing and being Brave. Despite what Jay constantly calls him a Chicken and Fink, Brad is neither because Brad is being smart one as he not just walks away and say no to the dealer but also despite the peer pressure he's put under he realizes that doing what is right is more important than worrying about reputation where in life or death situation don't matter .

Jay is the real Chicken, he want so badly to not be Chicken but unfortunately that exactly what he's being as we see Jay is making a fatal mistake when he blindly allows himself to try Spin which is sort of like acid. And we see in disturbing fashion Jay's physical and mental health is slowly but surely deterating to a fatal level which makes us all the more concerned and hope someone will put a stop to it and soon.

I like how the dealer is handled in a believable realistic fashion whom you plan hate because scum buckets like him exist. What's interesting is how this guy is always trying to pass himself off to Jay as a friend; which is exactly what cons like him always do always talking to you like their your best friend despite the fact they don't even know you. It's a false guretee letting them on that they'll always be there for them, to give them what they want or need. This guy is clearly no friend to Jay, he's clearly using him keying in on Jay's addiction to make Jay his slave.

This makes the episode all the more tragic because Brad along with the girl, Bravestarr, and Fifty Fifty are the friends that Jay should be listening to because they care and are concerned about his well being which is part of what true friends and friendship is. But Jay doesn't listen and in the end he pays the ultimate price.

The price of drug addiction is your soul.
