To avoid a conflict with Sunday Night Football, NBC moved the 2014 Emmy Awards telecast up a month, to August 25. But in swerving clear of the football juggernaut, the Emmys steered right into the lane of the landmark cultural occasion of late August: the MTV VMAs, scheduled for one day prior. It got us thinking: What if we took things to their logical conclusion and handed MTV control of the Emmys, as well? Using categories from both the VMAs and their summertime counterpart, the MTV Movie Awards, we've imagined what would happen if the cable network was in charge of handing...

CBS announced its fall schedule which is both a big shake-up and a return to CBS’ conservative scheduling. The network is moving away from serialized shows like Hostages but every night’s line-up will be changed. Probably the biggest move is dropping the two-hour comedy block on Mondays. The last time CBS aired a drama on Monday it was Scarecrow & Mrs. King in 1986.
CBS joined the networks promising year-round programming, noting that one of the season’s biggest new dramas was the summer show Under the Dome. There’s a good number of new and returning shows not on CBS’ announced schedule, they’ll be used to limit the number of repeats throughout the year.
At least Under the Dome had Mike Vogel to look at.

On last night’s R&B themed results show, P. Diddy and his Dirty Money mates Dawn Richard and Kalenna took to the American Idol stage to perform “Hello, Good Morning”.
The strobing and insanely energetic song is from the upcoming release Last Train to Paris and we adored the violins and timpani sounds on the background. Halfway through the song Diddy shouted out:
“America, right about now I want you to turn your televisions up and your lights down. And rock with us!”
We couldn’t be bothered standing up to turn our lights out here, but we did bob our heads in time with the beat…..

In the pre-Fall lull of new television programming, MTV and P. Diddy have launched the new reality series "P. Diddy's Starmaker." Not to be confused with "Making His Band" or "Making The Band" or the "I Want To Work For Diddy" or "Sean Jean: Internship By Design" contests, this one's about discovering talented singers who also know how to sell themselves as a brand. The show runs through September and started with 14 contestants on Sunday. "You have to understand how to be able to brand yourself," Sean "Puff Daddy" "Puffy" "Puff" "P. Diddy" "Diddy" Combs told Reuters. "Before, it was just at...
