College Interview (#4.7)

Warning: Spoilers
This was a good episode with a lot of action. I can't help that I hate the characters. I think I am slightly tired of their dramatic suffering way of talking. But besides that this episode was really well done. Great ending too.

They're all just so intense and moany!! I dont think I like any of the characters! This whole season could have been covered in one long episode!! Shame because season 1 and 2 were pretty good.

OMG...more stupid decisions
volguynaz3 July 2020
I hate myself for continuing to watch these episodes. Watching this is akin to being in a dysfunctional relationship. Yet another episode of innate decision making made by most every cast member. Such an unreal depiction of students. My heart really is breaking because I really loved the first two seasons. It's like every episode the writers are wanting to "jump the teen angst shark"....really, really dumb!

Underrated Episode
samellery14 June 2020
This episode shouldn't have this low a score it's one of the better episodes of the season in my opinion the scene with Zach and Diego is excellent and Ross Butler is fantastic in it, also everything they did with Clay, Ani and Justin in this episode I thought was really investing and emotional, I don't understand the hate for this episode to be honest 8.1/10

This episode is so godamn underated! I don't know if people are sensitive with mental health issues but this episode is a godamn masterpiece.

Clay Jensens mental collaps scene is brilliant and well acted Justin foleys mental outbreak also brilliant and well acted and filled with so much emotions Zach and the Liberty guys scene also great and it was like you were there getting beaten up I can go on forever but i hope it is enough to get this episode on higher rate.

Warning: Spoilers
This episode was alright it got better around the ending that is where I really liked it why this episode was ok for me was just all round the college stuff not interesting an un explained so I really don't care about all that but when tony is trying to figure out what there are doing to Tyler or is what is going to happen is great but than we keep going back to the college stuff super un interesting oh yeah this episode is very sad for Justin's character because him mom dies in this episode off screen for some reason I don't why they did that that's odd but an ok episode nothing crazy.

And back to dullness
Begovil5 July 2020
Some people should not be able to write or direct film and tv because they just don't get people. You need a certain depth for that.

The previous couple of episodes were like a whole different show, especially the one before the last one. The characters were real, multidimensional, truly interesting so watching this after those ones was like a sugar crash, my mind would just wander off like crazy, going everywhere but the screen. I really liked some scenes tho, like the one in the bathroom with Jessica and Ani speaking at the mirror. Of course the acting is remarkable but the framing work is outstanding all along the episode, actually. But they were still lacking of depth except when Ani or Jessica were on screen. The interview scenes were really boring but the actor that plays the principal is incredible, I've seen him in a version of "the shinning" a long time ago where he plays an unforgettable Jack Torrance. The actor that plays Alex's dad is great too, and of course our Clay who is just something else... what a guy! The background music was spectacular, especially the tune that plays while Clay is in bed. It creates ambience and depth.

I don't know how much of this is because of the writing or the production but I am amazed at how plain this show can turn sometimes. Some aspects of the direction were beautiful tho, like the framing etc.
