Hardly any plot at all, and full of padding, it has much that is laughable. There were a few in the audience who laughed nearly all the way through it and it seemed that the majority were interested in it. Pietro is a "case" of temperament. He is always the same and a good deal of his temperament is shown. There is a comical gutter band and some hand organ men. - The Moving Picture World, January 24, 1914
