The plot of this episode is Jennifer Walters being sued by Titania for trademark infringement. In real life, the She-Hulk character was created by Marvel Comics precisely to preempt this legal situation with the producers of the The Incredible Hulk (1978) television series. The creators of the series were rumored to be considering creating a female version of the Hulk, which would have been owned by them rather than by Marvel.
This is the first episode to not include a mid-credits scene.
The type of beauty care products that Titania promotes share similarities with the Goop products of Iron Man (2008) actress Gwyneth Paltrow. Criticism has been leveled at Paltrow's products, some of which were compared to snake oil as Jennifer notes of Titania's products.
In the Avongers and Avingers t-shirts, the character of Hulk is represented in purple color instead of his characteristic green. In color theory, purple is the opposite to green.
