If you are going to flip a bad home in a bad hood, you must really improve; it not create more problems for poor folks later. Such as leaving Galvanized Pipe under the floor subject to leaking and rotting all the foundation wood and other materials. You cannot lock in a certain $ figure and say that is all you are going to spend. Find out what the costs are before you purchase. And you cannot make it in the future if you force the subs to do what they do not want to do. This was a show about ego, not how to do anything related to home flipping.
