Who would have thought we would be seeing a sequel to 47 Ronin among all of the Halloween goodies? But sure enough, Universal 1440 Entertainment, the company’s direct-to-video department, has come up with Blade of the 47 Ronin, a modern-day sequel to the Keanu Reeves samurai epic. And they said there’s no such thing as The Great Pumpkin.
Somewhere in Budapest Yurei kills Arai thought to be the last in the bloodline of those who wielded the Blade of the 47 Ronin. But as he kills him he senses the existence of another heir.
As the other clans argue over what to do about the sword and the prophecy attached to it, Onami one of Lord Shinshiro’s onna-bugeisha reaches out to Reo.

Movies that have to do with assassins and their targets are often action-packed and have just enough meaningful dialogue to get the point across when it comes to revealing what they’re all about. But sometimes, these movies try to use a little too much exposition and end up becoming kind of a drag since the overuse of dialogue can kill the overall feel of the movie. Mark Dacascos is a fun actor to watch, but one thing that’s been well-established over the years is that he’s not one of the greatest actors in the world, and this movie kind of

Writer/director Wych Kaosayananda has been somewhat of a busy bee recently with not one but Three films released in the span of six months. First up was The Driver, swiftly followed by One Night in Bangkok. However unlike those 2 features, which had the star-power name of Mark Dacascos to hang their marketing, Paradise Z – also known as Dead Earth and Two of Us – has crept out into the market with very little fanfare. Probably because it hasn’t kept the same moniker across the countries it has been released in so far. It also doesn’t help that the marketing – that I’ve seen – seemingly doesn’t connect this to The Driver. But it should, Kaosayananda has actually stated this film is set in the...

"Its been a long time since I killed anyone." Lionsgate has released an official trailer for One Night in Bangkok, a hit man action thriller set in the iconic Thai city. It's the latest film from Thai action director Wych Kaosayananda (aka Wych Kaos) and is getting a direct-to-dvd release at the end of the summer. It's described as "a homage to Collateral, with a shocking twist," and the story follows an assassin who hires a cab driver in Bangkok to unknowingly escort him to each of his targets - five hits in six hours. Will they pull it off? Mark Dacascos stars as the hit man, joined by Kane Kosugi, Vanida Golten, Prinya Intachai, Sahajak Boonthanakit, and Julie Condra. This looks pretty damn cool, not only as a Collateral homage but as a hit man getting revenge the only way he knows how - taking out the bad guys.
