For some reason, this show has always stuck in my mind all these years later. Presented by Keith Fordyce and Cathy McGowan and with a host of top acts of the day, this was a refreshing change for me to see the New year in with all the latest 'pop' music, instead of sitting with my parents watching Andy Stewart celebrating Hogmanay the Scots' way, as we'd previously done! A lasting image I have from this show, were two lads in the audience, dancing next to each other, each wearing a giant, white cardboard "6" around their necks - making a '66 for the New year!
