With lyrics by Lynn Ahrens and Essra Mohawk providing the vocal, "Interjections!" is another great short animated musical for the "Schoolhouse Rock!" series-the three minute segment that aired after many ABC Saturday morning programs during the '70s and '80s. When a boy gets a shot in the butt (yes, that part is depicted), he says, "Ouch!" When a beautiful lady gets insulted by a man's constantly courting her, she says "Well!" Then says, "Hey! You're kinda cute." And then there's a football game when the player quarterback threw the ball in the "other direction." You hear, "Aw!" "Darn!" and then "Hooray! I'm for the other team." (You can probably guess what humiliation the last suffers there) Like the other "Schoolhouse Rock!" cartoons, this one is worth showing kids today when trying to make education fun for them. And just try not to smile when the "Halleujah" girl says, "Darn, that's the end" after the song suddenly ends...
