Yakuza, family, comedy, drama - there is everything
romelv18 November 2020
This fun tv show is based on the manga which won many awards in comedy genre, so expect to laugh once or twice (or a few hundred). The format is light, which means it's something more like "Friends" rather than "Breaking Bad", but it doesn't mean that it's bad. Would recommend for everyone who's interested in light comedy genre or yakuza (since it's full of yakuza-related stuff). I would especially recommend it to Yakuza video game series fans, since it has similar (crazy) mood and characters that are similar to what fans of the game are used to (Majima + Kiryu in one). P.s. netflix has announced that the manga (on which this tv show is based on) will get an anime adaption, so keep an eye on it.

Utterly brilliant

I was one of the people who watched the anime series of this on Netflix before I knew this existed. Whereas the anime is more fast-paced and short in its format, this series gives so much airtime to characters and progressive story, I genuinely loved every single episode. The soundtrack and acting is utterly brilliant for fans of the anime. Can't recommend this enough!

The best live action possible of the way of the house husband

After watching the animated series on Netflix, I searched on Google to find out about this live action series. It really do justice to all the characters and writing. The only thing I want to say is this is the best light hearted comedy show there is and really can't get enough of it. I wish there will be a season 2.

Favourite live action adaptation of one of my most favourite mangas in recent memory!

Caught myself laughing out loud in every episode. I really enjoyed the character development & the wholesome moments.

I loved this series even more so because I am a big fan of the Yakuza video game series.

Lastly, I feel like the actor Hiroshi Tamaki plays Tatsu exceptionally well.
