On Sunday's (April 15) episode of "Mad Men," Megan (Jessica Paré) couldn't remember Ken Cosgrove's wife's name: Cynthia. And we understand the feeling because something about Cynthia has been nagging at us, too. The same thing goes for the buff dude who swooped in to Pete Campbell's Drivers Ed class and totally swept his jailbait crush off her feet.
First, though, back to Cynthia Cosgrove. She's played by Larisa Oleynik who, despite the homely "Mad Men" wig, is the same super-cutie who first hit our radar as the star of the mid-'90s Nickelodeon hit "The Secret World of Alex Mack." Since then, she's turned up in everything from "10 Things I Hate About You" (she was Julia Stiles' perfect little sister) to CBS' "Hawaii Five-0" reboot where she played CIA analyst Jenna Kaye.

A never-before-seen, candid interview with the late Ramone! Plus ‘Rockaway Beach’ live!
In support of the impending online premiere of The Dark Path Chronicles – a collaboration between Lovely Producer Elizabeth and Tfh Guru Mary Lambert — Ms. Mary Lambert’s been busy digging through her archives and rooting out footage from cool, old projects. In some cases, those projects were left unfinished and, largely, unseen.
The following comes from an unfinished short documentary Lambert was working on immediately prior to the death of Dee Dee Ramone. It’s got some good live performance footage of Dee Dee playing ‘Rockaway Beach,’ but what makes it notable are the candid interview moments from what would turn out to be some of Dee Dee’s last. I’m unsure when, exactly, this footage was shot, but Mary Lambert told me it went unfinished largely because of Dee Dee’s untimely death.

In a career that has spanned almost 35 years, filmmaker Mary Lambert has seen a lot and learned even more. She's worked with monsters of all shapes and sizes, from Mötley Crüe to Stephen King. But even she had never encountered something the likes of her latest film, Mega Python vs. Gatoroid, a wonderful little creature feature created for the Syfy cable network by infamous B-movie production house The Asylum.
When I spoke to Lambert recently, she said, "Every day on the set was like being pushed out of an airplane with a World War II parachute into hostile territory. At the end of every day, we were just glad to be alive, even though we knew as survivors that we were just going to be pushed out of the airplane again tomorrow. Nothing surprises me anymore."
The hard work definitely paid off. Of the many low-budget gems foisted upon an unsuspecting,...
