Move Mountains Productions have released the official trailer for new film The Sun Also Rises, due for release in Summer. The Sun Also Rises is the directorial debut of a full-length film by Roland Manookian and is produced by Shane McCormick, Tom Gordon (Good Shout film collective founder), Josh Witcher and Franky Lankester (Ron Hopper’s Misfortune).
The film focuses on Raye (Gina Jones), a woman trapped in an abusive relationship. The film charts her struggle to survive, her journey to escape, and how the cycle of violence affects everyone who comes into contact with it.
The Sun Also Rises is a beautiful film with an ultimately positive message of redemption; it pays homage to the strength of the human spirit. NonStop Entertainment has gone on a buying spree for Nordic rights to new titles including Berlinale opening film Peter Von Kant directed by Francois Ozon, in a deal with Playtime.
Also from Berlinale’s official selection, the company acquired Dark Glasses by Dario Argento, with Nordic rights acquired from Wild Bunch. The thriller set in Rome stars Asia Argento.

UK director Stuart Brennan’s medieval action-adventure Kingslayer has sold to Shout! Studios for North America following a deal with Kaleidoscope Film Distribution at the European Film Market.
The all-rights deal includes a theatrical release, expected for the third quarter of 2022.
Kingslayer follows Richard the Lionheart, days away from his coronation, as he struggles with threats to his leadership and a looming civil war. Ryan Gage, David Hayman, John Rhys-Davies, Carolina Carlsson and Ellie Rose-Mackinlay star.
Brennan has also written the feature, with Gareth Wiley producing.
It is the fourth recent collaboration between Kaleidoscope and Shout!
