Alice is giving a lecture on Hemingway and James Joyce and finds there is $20 missing from her purse. Our favorite kind hearted educator is too sweet to accuse any of her students she tells her students that she wants the culprit to mailt he money back to her, thats how kind she is! Good old Alice! Then Pete finds out he has a flat and his spare tire is missing. What is going on here! Then someone steals Alice's slide projector. Oh wow! We need Sherlock Holmes and Doctor Watson! Thanks to Pete's usual good heartedness the culprit doesn't get the police only a stern but caring lecture about responsiblity. It turns out he only stole items trying to get his feuding parents back together again.

There's a thief at the school and Pete finds out who and why it is happening.
A pretty good episode. Alice finds $20 missing, Pete's spare tire is stolen and the slide projector is gone. Pete finds out it is Jimmy Thompson and Mr Kaufman is ready to call police but Pete convinces him to just call Jimmy's parents. They find out his parents are divorced which may explain why he is stealing.
