After 7 years of Gurukul education Khanderao continues to behave like an in disciplined brat and drinking like Devdas. Meaningless turn if the story unless the intention is to vilify Gurukuls. Downright objectionable.

I completely agree with rest of the views on this platform, It has been to exaggerating to shown the most iconic lady of her time. Request to change character of Gautama, she literally gets onto nerves when she tries to showdown Ahilya, how can one be so adamant to prove something which is right, to be wrong by hook or crook.

The show is wonderful and very creatively created. The show tells us about the history of Punyashloka Ahilyabai Khanderao Holkar. She was a great queen. Also the show tells us about the misunderstanding in the society like discrimination between male and female, caste, religion,etc. At last I will say it is a must watch show to get information about Punyashloka Ahilyabai Holkar.

This serial is very interesting to watch for two reasons. 1. The story is based on life history of a great lady of India Ahilyabai. 2. The actors are well chosen and all of them are doing very good in their respective roles. But the obvious flaws are as follows that requite immediate attention to modify.
Why Khandi Rao who rightly guessed that Gunnoji might have a hand in freeing his father Dhanaji for which he was forced to beg apology by the supporters of Gunoji, not engaged spies behind Gunoji to watch his movements. A prince should not have been portrayed as stupid having lack of mere common sense?
1. There is no mention in history about Ahilyabai attempted for reformation of widow marriage. If this is inderted to make the serial spicy, in that case script should have been written to empower Ahilya with all amenities and adequate knowledge of Vedas and Puranas to defend the onslaught of all acharys coming out to fight violently. Particularly when she is handling the situation singlehandedly without any support from any member of her family, all the crooks in the family like Dwrakabai, Jamuna bai, Ratna bai, Gunoji, and Dhanaji should be exposed of their heinous conspiracy to defame Ahilya and Khandi Rao with a hidden agenda of throwing out Khandi Rao from heirship. In the next episode Ahilya's arguments in the court should be like an expert lawyer to expose one by one with evidences and relevant recitation of quotations from shatras which the Acharyas would fail to protect themselves. Simple thing is that Vedas have not created Parampara which acharys term as religion It is man made and bound to change as Ahilya once told but went unheard for lack relevant quotation from Shastras.
If all these connspirators are made active in denouncing Ahilyabai which is not there in original history, then insert more of evidences of nuisance perpetrated by Gunoji trying to kill KhaneRao from childhood and the unholy alliances of Dhanaji Sardar, Dwarkabai and Ratna bai with hteir spy Jamuna bai which were very corosive to watch and digest. If an evidence against the main priest who is waging a war against Ahilyabai in the court is brought that how he is secretly engaged in inillicit love making with the wife of another man in the court with witness and Ahilya put forth a demand of punishment against him as he demanded for Runu the serial will be extremely spicy and loved by all even if this is fictitious like many other things inserted withut consequences. Why Gunoji's conspiracy of slow poisonig KHande Rao has not been brought to book? Several deficiecies are visible in the serial which can be mended to uphold the image of the great leady Ahilyabai.
Over all comment is very poorly scripted with least foresight.

Got to know detail facts about Devi Ahilya bai holkar. Lovely star cast and beautiful acting of young artist Aditi who played the role of Ahilya. Rajesh Shringarpure's acting and screen presence is just awesome.. love watching with family members.

Was so keen to watch this serial due to immerse respect for Devi Ahilya Bai holkar..Sadly the writer and director of this serial are playing with history ,wrong narration portraying Ahilya in bad light ..can understand she was a child with strong views but not the way it has been portrayed..take a look at what you showcase ..ppl in those times esp ladies never behaved so ..this actually goes against her character.. kindly take care of that .
Malhar Rao and all the others characters are perfectly suited to their character except the irritating child artist who plays the role of 'Ahilyabai'...a lil less of drama and overacting will make the serial better nd get more viewers

Ahilyadevi no doubt was great queen and so we watching this serial with family & kids so everyone knows great Ahillyadevi warrior administrator & her great works (having those proofs now days also) with utmost excitement, curiocity for inspiration.....
Our villeges in Nashik still have mandir/Baraw/Rangmahal/Ghat/Dharmashala at many places built by Ahilyadevi and all are long running good useful working conditions.
But currently serial resembling very slow, wasting time in showing un-necessary ornaments showoff, women quarells/jwellacy, more like kind of ordinary sas-bahu serial..........more or less we can understand, but too much is really bad.
Young Ahilya casts & acting is impressive.
Hope serial will catch up speed without testing our passions/excitement/curiocity and without temparing real History
But currently serial resembling very slow, wasting time in showing un-necessary ornaments showoff, women quarells/jwellacy, more like kind of ordinary sas-bahu serial..........more or less we can understand, but too much is really bad.

It's really a very attractive serial. Ahalyabai Holkar and all other starcast are good actor.
But it's really disgusting, Dwarkamai Saheb, Her Jamairaja Guruji bauji and even now Parvati, characters are good escapees !!! They are never caught by anyone ??? , inspite of doing many disturbing family issues. Nobody even watch them from doing wrong practices ???

We got to understand it's an indian show and if we judge with that metre it's a great show unlike many saas bahu dramas. This show is at its peak presently. I hope it only goes up from here. Actor who is playing Malhar rao is a terrific actor and he has such a natural presence on screen. He brings in great balance. Overall a very enjoyable show.
The show portrays the negetive side of the society questioned by a 9 year old and based on the story of real events.

Such an inspiring concept, I'm seriously in love with this serial, I'm really not into serials but when my parents started watching this, the whole concept literally reflected my whole childhood. Breaking stereotypes, inequality all these things made me fall in love with this. My whole family eagerly waits to watch this show everyday and I think it's a great family show with a new concept breaking steroetypes. ❤

Any article about Ahilyabai clearly mentions that she was taught to read and write by her father who home schooled her. It also mentions that she was able to accomplish all that she did because of her father-in-law and husband's support. Not sure why Sony has to project her husband and mother-in-law in such poor light. These serial people use as a source of learning history. DO NOT TRY TO DISTORT HISTORY PLEASE.

A promising show now going downhill

This was a really engaging show. Excellent cast, good characters, set and costumes. However, now it's turned into a typical saans Bahu serial where the main character is shown as a helpless and weak character who can't even speak up for herself. This is too frustrating for the audience and there is no end to this frustration. I have watched this show from the very beginning but i can't watch it anymore. It's so frustrating and such a waste of my time.

The show is named after AhilyaBai. However, the most irritating and boring scenes are of Ahilya bai either giving pravachan or talkin abt her past or crying or crying with her friend renu. Why does it have to be sooo boring. Pls get to the main story which is interesting.
