Sheryl Lee Ralph and Tyler James Williams are looking to make some Emmy history this year as the current comedy supporting actor/actress category frontrunners for their performances in the ABC comedy hit “Abbott Elementary.” Ralph of course memorably won last year – complete with a powerful singing acceptance speech – and is going for two in a row after also taking the comedy supporting actress trophy at the Critics Choice Awards in January. Williams, who won a Golden Globe earlier this year, is looking to keep Brett Goldstein from pulling off an Emmy three-peat for “Ted Lasso” after being nominated a year ago.
Should both Ralph and Williams triumph, it would be the first time that performers of color won in the comedy supporting categories in the same year. In fact, it would be the first time African Americans took home an Emmy statue in the same year in any supporting series category – drama included.

After a long wait for its conclusion, the final two parts of The CW’s “Crisis on Infinite Earths” will be with us tomorrow night. We’ve already had a run of teasers for the upcoming action, as well as images from Part 4 of the special, and now have a set of photos from the concluding episode of the Multiverse-destroying storyline, which will wrap up on Legends of Tomorrow.
The images, which you can see below, aren’t quit as detailed as the ones we had for the fourth installment, but they still give us some clues for the finale. The synopsis for Part 5 of the “Crisis” doesn’t tell us much, either, only that “worlds lived, worlds died. Nothing will ever be the same.” The CW are presumably aiming to keep spoilers close to their chest, although we know from Part 4 that Oliver Queen is back as the Spectre,...

Week 8 on “Dancing with the Stars” will have double the dances — but not for all the couples.
The remaining seven duos will perform their usual individual routines and then participate in a head-to-head dance-off in the styles of either the cha-cha, jive or salsa for two extra points. Since seven is an odd number, one couple will be immune from the dance-off but still get the two extra points. Per ABC, the dance-off immunity will be “based on the leaderboard from the previous week.” Well, three couples topped the night with a 54: Lauren Alaina and Gleb Savchenko, Ally Brooke and Sasha Farber, and James Van Der Beek and Emma Slater.
“Dancing” later announced on its Instagram page that the lucky couple is Team Van Der Slate, who got the edge because they have the highest cumulative score of the season. Note: The immunity is for the dance-off only and not from elimination.

Four of our Emmy Experts and one Top 24 User are predicting Jeffrey Wright (‘Westworld’) to win Best Drama Supporting Actor. If they are correct, Wright would be the first black champ of the one remaining acting category that has never had one.
After Viola Davis’ drama lead actress victory in 2015 for “How to Get Away with Murder,” Best Drama Supporting Actor is the only existing category that has yet to award a black performer. Eleven black actors have been nominated, including Wright last year; the others are Greg Morris (“Mission: Impossible,” 1969, 1970, 1972), Taurean Blacque (“Hill Street Blues,” 1982), James Earl Jones (“Under One Roof,” 1995), Eriq La Salle (“ER,” 1995, 1997, 1998), James McDaniel (“NYPD Blue,” 1996), Steve Harris (“The Practice,” 1999, 2000), Dule Hill (“The West Wing,” 2002), Andre Braugher (“Men of a Certain Age,” 2010, 2011), Giancarlo Esposito (“Breaking Bad,” 2012) and Ron Cephas Jones (“This Is Us,” 2017).
