Terry's interview with Imogen Stubbs is one of the more uncomfortable interviews in the series, and one that plays down to negative criticisms of his interviewing style.
Often slated in tabloids for lack of genuine interest in his guests, and overreliance on cue cards due to lack of research, while such claims are often exaggerated or even false, both come to the fore during his interview with Stubbs.
The interview is a little uncomfortable right away as Stubbs appears self-conscious from the start, and Terry bringing up the subject of nudity almost instantly doesn't help ease the atmosphere. But Terry's alleged habit of using cue cards is exceptionally blatant, with him glancing over Imogen's shoulder almost every question.
Perhaps the most uncomfortable moment comes when Imogen mentions that her mother was critical of her acting ambitions when she was younger:
Terry: "Is she still a harsh critic, or does she... does she look at you with a... a roomy eye?"
Imogen: "... actually, she's not alive anymore."
