Shot over a seven year period. After re-shooting the film 3 times, the film makers finally released the film as a mixed cut with scenes from all three versions.
Director Ben Goldenberg actually shaved a heart into his chest during the French Murder scene. The producers urged him not to, but he insisted on actually shaving for realism rather than hiring CGI artists from Lucas Ranch (which was the original plan).
Ron Jeremy (Porn Star) was originally attached to the film to play the part of Blow-Me-One-Shanobi. After a slight mishap where one of the financiers flew to Vegas and gambled the entire budget ($30,000 CAD at the time) on Black. This inevitably led to Ron Jeremy being replaced by Benito Jr. Suppa who donned a hooded cape and glowing red eyes. Director Ben Goldenberg then did the voice during Post Production.
Rick Skyler plays Tommy Wiseau in the film. The Tommy character is an homage to real-life appraised film maker Tommy Wiseau, of "THE ROOM" notoriety. Director Ben had the pleasure of meeting the real Tommy in an elevator before the screening of his film in Los Angeles. Ben was so inspired by Tommy's commandeering presence that he decided to dedicate the character.
Michael Sousa, the film's composer, drank over 350 Red Rain energy drinks while scoring the film at the Goldenberg Ranch. Michael was begged by the director to lay off the drinks after Michael complained about heart palpitations. Michael refused to stop as he lives for the music and quote: "Regular human hours are not sufficient."
