Sex & Nudity

Violence & Gore

  • An important aspect of gameplay is being able to switch to "action mode" at any time and physically attack anything, or any character, in the game, for any reason at all. You can punch/kick allies, enemies, or inanimate objects. Almost all obstacles or problems can be bypassed with violence, or by using intelligence (puzzle solving). One or two endings exist for being violent at all opportunities.
  • All violence is cartoon in nature, and no blood is ever seen. Blood is implied in one investigation case, but it turns out to be an edible liquid.

Profanity

  • At one point, Dee says "I go in, kick those bots' asses, and come back with my man." Other than that, there is no profanity in the game.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • Brok's first client of the game has many shot glasses in his apartment, and through investigation, it is revealed that he is an alcoholic, which may have led to the reason he called for Brok's help in investigating something.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • The game opens up with Brok having a nightmare. The building he's in is burning, and he eventually finds a woman trapped under some furniture in the flame-filled room, and she yells at him in a very angry way before he wakes up panicking.

Spoilers

The Parents Guide items below may give away important plot points.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • Before starting the first interrogation of the game, Brok has the option of adding a drug to an alcoholic beverage and offering it to the person he will interrogate. If this is done, the character will get angry after the interrogation has concluded (like normal), but will not make a successful hit, and instantly become docile.
  • In the game, there are two societies: The rich and privileged "Drumers", and the impoverished "Slumers". The Drumers live under a protective dome, and the Slumers live outside it in a hazy pollution. Every day, Slumers must take a "Toxout pill" to survive under this haze. Without it, they slowly suffocate and die.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • The ending of the game features the villain making scary threats and getting bigger. Younger children may not like this, but luckily, on the easiest difficulty setting, all fights can be skipped with one button, including the final boss.
