When the ship "Goliath" is sunk in the opening sequence it shows the ship broken and sinking in two equal halves, each tilted about 40° toward what had been the ship's midpoint and many yards apart with debris pouring from each ruptured section. In the next sequence when the ship is viewed with a sonar scanner the ship is one piece.
