Superman/Batman: Public Enemies is a direct-to-video animated film based on the graphic novel of the same title by writer Jeph Loeb, penciller Ed McGuinness and inker Dexer Vines. Bruce Timm (Superman/Doomsday, Green Lantern) is executive producer. Michael Goguen (Justice League: The New Frontier) is supervising producer. Sam Liu (The Batman) is directing a script written by Stan Berkowitz (Justice League: The New Frontier). The voice cast includes Tim Daly as Superman, Kevin Conroy as Batman and Clancy Brown as Lex Luthor. The sixth in the series of DC Universe Animated Original Movies, the film is a co-production of Warner Premiere, DC Comics and Warner Bros. Animation, distributed by Warner Home Video. Superman/Batman: Public Enemies will be available as a Special Edition 2-disc version on DVD and Blu-Ray Hi-Def for $24.98 (SRP) and $29.99 (SRP), respectively, as well as single disc DVD for $19.98 (SRP) and On Demand.
This is how Warner Home Video describes Superman/Batman: Public Enemies: "United States President Lex Luthor uses the oncoming trajectory of a Kryptonite asteroid to frame Superman and declare a $1 billion bounty on the heads of the Man of Steel and his 'partner in crime,' Batman. Heroes and villains alike launch a relentless pursuit of Superman and Batman, who must unite -- and recruit help -- to stave off the action-packed onslaught, stop the asteroid, and uncover Luthor's devious plot to take command of far more than North America."
The principle voice-cast members are Kevin Conroy (Batman: The Animated Series) as Batman, Tim Daly (Superman: The Animated Series) as Superman and Clancy Brown (Superman: The Animated Series; Justice League Unlimited) as Luthor. Also starring are: LeVar Burton as Black Lightning; Xander Berkely as Captain Atom; Corey Burton as Captain Marvel; Ricardo Chavira as Major Force; Allison Mack as Power Girl; John C. McGinley as Metallo; CCH Pounder as Amanda Waller; and, Calvin Tran as Toyman. Also in the cast are Mark Jonathan Davis, Brian George, Michael Gough (II; uncredited as Hawkman), Jennifer Hale, Rachael MacFarlane, Alan Oppenheimer, Andrea Romano and Bruce Timm.
