This french TV movie takes place in Belleville, the Chinese district in Paris - actually not the main one, but a place where a very important community from Asia lives - and tells us the story of a petty hoodlum, a french one, who is involved with a mysterious Chinese man in search of a young woman. And this fellow asks our lead to help him to purchase the gal.
This is a classic tale, with a good description of the underworld in Belleville, good dialogues, sensitive and convincing characters. Some violence and brutality too. Also some romance, of course.
