Two Secret Service agents screw up a D.C. situation involving the president, and are reassigned to a mysterious government warehouse in the South Dakota Badlands. The warehouse contains thousands of objects that need to be kept out of people's hands, as each object possesses a power, and not a nice power. The two agents are sent to Iowa for their assignment, to retrieve an object that is causing a nice, normal guy to become increasingly violent. Turns out it's an old Italian book of some sort, with a secret hidden inside. The agents mus retrieve the book and keep people from dying. Sounda a bit grim, but actually the show is liberally laced with humor, as the agents stumble through their first assignment. They are not exactly on the bet of terms with one another, and the female, who is very high-strung, absolutely does not want to be in South Dakota. The show is a loose cross between X-FILEs and the Friday THE 13TH TV series, with lots of silliness thrown in for good measure. Their boss at the warehouse is a quirky little guy played by the wonderful Sauk Rubinek. While not exactly Mulder and Sculley, the duo is fun to watch in action. A promising start for a new series from the people who gave us EUREKA, if I'm not mistaken.
