I mean starting on the note that this series was fantastic. There was a lot of scenes which portrayed and emphasized on the importance of consent which was great. The acting by all the actors was really good. The storyline was also pretty good.

Now what went wrong- Unnecessary and confusing storyline of Aoey and Mhok, I mean if you have started something make sure that you end it well. But they didn't end it at all.

Even the ending of the show was not up to the mark. After such good content we expect the end to be satisfying enough but this kind of end just led to more confusions!

Worth the watch though I think!!

In the first episode i wasn't really sure about this BL, I was getting the same as always. I gave it a chance and It got better and better. I won't lie, there's a lot of "clichés" and the same things we have seen before in a lot of BLs BUT there was something really interesting. It got more serious (but not that much) i found my Heart beating so fast in a moment, it was Deep, breathtaking.. and suddenly.. the ending happend.

All the cringe I didn't feel in the entire series I felt It just at the end. It was uncomfortable, cringy, etc. I was expecting AN AMAZING ENDING that would make cry of happiness and joy. It didn't happen. Besides, there were some "issues" about "important things" in the story that were left behind without giving us explenations. GIVE ME MY EXPLANATIONS.

This series is incredibly made. It checks all the boxes from storyline, plot, acting. It's just soooo beautiful to watch. Literally watched every episode multiple times. Warning: so addictive.

An appreciatable attempt at poking the hornet's nest that is the current thai bl industry

Let me tell you this. This series here simply threw off all other thai bl series so far. It has a good plot. Though it become a hot mess towards the end, it still managed to fulfill its purpose. There were countless moments where the drama made u wonder abt the "norms" in the thai bl industry. Besides the quality content, acting, casts, music, direction and cinematography, every mentionable aspects has been set to a new standard. Now I can proudly say that there is a thai bl worth watching without feeling uncomfortable or awkward.

Ps: The leads' chemistry is off the charts. Up is an exceptional actor who has managed to portray Gene's character to its fullest. A natural actor.

Nubsib is the consent king. Finally a healthy bl couple in thai bl industry.

Addictive. I have watched this series 4 times so far. First time alone and then three times with others. And every time I was hit with a new realization. The director really made an attempt to call out the thai bl industry. The irony is that this is the same director who directed TharnType the series season 1. This might have been a redemption for him LoL (Considering how problematic that series seemed to me) . Because, so far, whatever complaints I had against the thai bl industry, at least 70 percent of them have been called out in this drama. From the first minute itself, the drama grabbed me with its beautiful claws just to leave me begging for more and more.

Addressing some of the criticisms I hrd abt this drama: 1 : "what is with the annoying sound effects. They really overdid it" - yes dear. The first two episodes really has a lot of sound effects nearly getting into our nrves. But that exactly was the point they were trying to make. This was simply a case of them taking a dig at other thai bl dramas with overdone sound effects. Making a joke out of the stereotypes.

2: "So you are telling me nubsib fell in love with Gene when he was just 6 years old. BS" - well you clearly haven't watched the 7th episode then. Nubsib with his own mouth, answers this question when it was put forward by Gene. 'I didn't understand the feeling at that time. But now I know'. And again, he started to have romantic feelings for Gene only in later years. After he grew up. He realized that he missed Gene when he saw Gene's picture send by Jap. (Their was this argument abt why they never contacted each other all thes years even after being close family friends, to the point where Gene didn't know how nubsib looked like; well I have cousins overseas whom I see only once in evry 10 years. Sometimes I end up forgetting abt them. So not impossible incase of Gene and Nubsib. Moreover, they were both send away to study. New people and new place. So it's not strange for them to end up forgetting each other. I guess) Later he asked Jap abt Gene a lot. And only after listening to all the stories abt him and reminiscing the old times did he realize that he might have feelings towards Gene. So yeah. They were not random dialogues to fill in the script. They had deep implicit meaning. How much u understand is solely depend on the viewer themselves.

3: "The company forcing them to break up was a little farfetched. They just should not appear together in public. That would be enough. All this breaking up was over the top"- let me tell u this. What the drama showcased was a real scenario. From the fans' comments in social media to the meeting room scene, everything is relatable in real life. It only hits u when u realize how true it is. There are many bl couples in thai industry itself who had to go through similar scenarios. Where they were forced to stay away frm each other and ended up hating each other towards the end. So no. This is not farfetched at all.

I'm not debating over the flaws. Yes. This show, like many other shows, has its flaws. But we are able to look over these faws. In my opinion, this show has unarguably set a new standard for the thai bl industry.

A series that you might wanna rewatch over and over again

This has been very unique when it comes to the plot, the story moved in a good pace which is enough to make me curious in each episode. The chemistry was perfect. The cinematography is great. There's no cringe in their relationship even to the comedy. All characters are there to be useful, each of them has its own personality which makes them relatable and understandable. Its a series that you might wanna rewatch multiple times because the romance is just so healthy, they are all lovable, even the antagonist.

This series is awesome good looking cast great acting skills, and great story, but i had some issues with the story in end i felt like the characters were out of their character shape spectrum yea like, but still it was great watching this series i loved it.

But who the hell put all those cringy editing and weird sound effects in all the episodes. The most prominent problem in this series is sounds effects and and some not needed slow-mo effects it's weird.

A play you can watch

The plot is not a cliche. It is also a relatively unique style in Thai drama, but the acting skills of one of the leading stars really need to be improved and will make people play. I hope I can see more and better works by the two stars in the future.

Weird special episode

I was so confused during the special episode. Definitely not the ending I was expecting and it was kind of a let down. The last episode before the special episode was also weird. I did not care for the mysterious writer. It kind of took me out of the story. I wish the whole thing was a bit longer and didn't skip over so much. And the storyline with Aoey was just dropped abruptly. It was like a set up for a second storyline but it's like they ran out of time to do anything with it. Gene and Sib are the main characters but I feel like Aoey took up too much screen time for his plot to not go anywhere.

It is So Good & Cute. Cheesy at first, mature as you continue.

At first it seems a bit cheesy but as you forward you get to witness the depthness of character. Both of the leads are way too cute.

Their chemistry is top notch just like a real couple.

The tone of the drama is light with tinch of seriousness in between.

One thing is to mention that character with most depthness in the series is Aye. Well played by him.

All in all i very much like this drama. Give it a shot.

PS :- Everyone need Nubsib for gene in their life.

I'm sorry but if you're a BL enthusiast and you didn't watch this series! then you're definitely missing out a big time binge watch. GO AND WATCH IT

LOVELY WRITER'S storyline is amazing and the actors excellently performed out their characters in the drama. Also " Lovely Writer's " Producers managed to discuss the most sensitive issue of the world especially in Thailand (atleast in BL dramas it is sensitive) that is Family's engagement on supporting LGBTQ. They actually dedicated quite crucial moments here and there in the drama to present that yes, this perspective can't be neglected at all. I've watched many and many BL series and especially Thai BL series. The most I despised about Thai BL dramas was there acting and way of dealing with LGBTQ content. It was like they were forced to acting, like literally walking like sloths, taking million seconds to cover the gap for kissing, it was like they're just acting and not immersed in their characters and storyline. But thanks to heaven and nice directors and producers of " LOVELY WRITER " who took it upon themselves to improvise all this and I'm So So Happy to say that " LOVELY WRITER " is the first series from my perspective that is perfect 😍, not wholly but it is THOUSAND TIMES PERFECT than all those I've watched before. Now, I'm an enthusiastic fan of this series 😍😍😍.... So much that I'm gonna watch it again and again and I still won't be bored because that's how much EFFORTS were put into this series and most importantly you can clearly make out these efforts while you watch and then compare it to some earlier Thai BL series. I'm Happy I found it 😌😌.

Well everyone need to watch it.. Haha they thought not to ship bl actors too much and neither to interfere in their personal business(which I sometimes do 😅)... Great love to makers of the series.

A must watch for all bl shippers

This series is the perfect series from all perspective. I love the storyline which is pretty believable and isn't cringing at all.

Story discussed a lot of serious issues and especially how fans can affect celebrities lives and personal and professional lives are different.

Authors problems to coming out problems this series handled everything well. A must watch!

I've been watching BL's for a while and I was surprised with this! This is one of the best new BL's out there! Just the fact that they are discussing the issues of BL dramas (not breaking fourth wall still) is amazing to see, and to open the discussion how to make them better. Also the communication and consent is very important to see, and I hope it continues in future BL dramas too. It breaks the cliches too, and how this does not set in university students. Don't get me wrong there are good ones that do, but I do believe it's time to make more diverse and original BL stories. And Lovely Writer is a proof of that.

Gene is sympathetic and shy writer who is very relatable. Nubsib is cute and their interactions, the chemistry is amazing! Even it is a cliche they knew in their childhood, it was well done.

About the "break up" drama: I do believe it could have done better, and since they were good at communicating, but suddenly, they face an obstacle and they both decide to run away their problems? Seemed bit OFC for Nubsib to not try to call or contact Gene for 4 months. At least they could have secretly dated, or at least stay in contact? Like okay..

Anyway, liked the happy ending. I really loved the multiverse endings too, it was so cute so see them act the disney but BL versions. And as for the final ending, I don't see what the fuss is about. Clearly the writer saw Nubsib and Gene, and was inspired by their relationship. She then got inspired to write a story that got made into a series. I think it was quite inspiring ending to me.

(PS. I need to watch the special episode, but it seems like they are together for real. )

How many kisses for P'Gene? kao or sib

Childhood sweethearts turn lovers. Younger male pursues the elder one. Cliché right? Before you turn away from watching it, let me reassure, it has much more to offer. Also titled 'Nubsib ja chup', the series contains commendably scripted, excellently filmed and beautifully executed kisses. Auu, aren't you here for them? :) editing team is to be appreciated for those little animated sounds in the hilarious scenes and background music for romantic scenes. Indirectly taunting the current BL industry framework, this series boldly walked the rating charts with positive feedback. From the makers of Tharn-Type, a thought provoking production roping in Kao (managed by channel 3) and Up (co owner of label JustUp), comes a worthy series. I don't personally ship the CP yet their chemistry for work is flawless. Kao needs to prune his skills and dialogue intonation. Bruce-Chap, looked convincingly attractive, even as a subsidiary CP. I would watch it again.

My favorite but...

Definitely one of my favorite BL's to date. Their relationship seemed so consensual and both of the leads are gorgeous. I really fell in love with Up Poompat as Gene; he's SO cute! I love the digs they took at the BL industry, while still delivering on every front. The steamiest scene happens in episode 9 and I felt like I waited very patiently for that. It was done so well and it was hot!!

However, the twists were legitimately surprising yet also a little odd.

SPOILERS AHEAD- I was shocked to find out that Nubsib and Gene knew each other as children and that he manipulated Gene in such an odd way. I still loved them together but it just felt... weird? For a moment. Then the ending was off as well.

To create multiple endings that were awkward and then to say that we were watching the screen adaptation of Lovely Writer was unnecessary and made me tear up.

I'm not one who ships real-life relationships or anything like that (as they were digging at on the show), but I wanted to keep Gene and Sib as a cute couple who only exist on the show and have a perfect little family. However, it basically revealed it was all a show and the "main leads" weren't necessarily truly in love; they were just acting.

I don't know, it made me really sad, LOL! Overall though, the acting was great and I really want to see Up in more shows!
